Pizza at Marcos with guests and guide

WE’RE HERE TO HELP

Taking care of our guests is important to us. Below you’ll find answers to all our most common (and uncommon) questions. If you can’t find the answer you need or just want to speak to a human feel free to call, text or email us.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

We offer full refunds up to 24 hours before a scheduled tour begins. Refunds and exchanges are not available after that cut off.

Optional tour insurance is available for an additional $5 per ticket. This ensures you can cancel any booking with a full refund up until the moment the tour begins.

Can I exchange my ticket for another day or tour?

Yes, we offer exchanges up until 24 hours before tours start. Guests will be charged or refunded the difference if exchanging to a different tour at different pricing.

Do you offer Tour Insurance?

Yes, for just $5 per ticket, Tour Insurance will ensure you can cancel, change or refund your ticket up until the moment your tour starts. This is a great option for guests flying in the morning of their tours or if you just want the piece of mind of a refundable ticket.

Can I get a refund if I miss my tour or show up late?

As tastings are pre-ordered and paid for, refunds are not available after a tour operates. Guests are welcome to join a tour late and can communicate with our office (303-997-2210) to connect with a group once their tour has started.

How much food is served on tours?

The Downtown Food Tour and RiNo Arts District Tour include 5 tastings over 3 hours. We find that this equates to a satisfying lunch.

Our Cocktail Tasting Tour focuses on the 4 craft cocktails, but we include light appetizers at 2 of the stops.

The Denver Wine Walk includes light appetizers paired with 8 wines.

Are there drinks included on the tours?

Our standard adult ticket for the Downtown Food Tour and RiNo Arts District Tour does not include alcohol, but upgrade to the drink package when purchasing your ticket, and you’ll enjoy 3 alcoholic drink pairings throughout your tour.

The Cocktail Tasting Tour includes 4 craft cocktails with the option to book a mocktail ticket for non-drinkers.

The Denver Wine Walk includes 8 wine tastes.

Valid ID is required to be served alcohol on all of our tours

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can accommodate the following dietary restrictions on our public food and drink tours:

  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan (Downtown Tour Only)
  • Pescatarian
  • No beef
  • No pork
  • No poultry
  • No seafood
  • No nuts

We are unable to fully accommodate gluten-free diets on our public tours (some tastings can be substituted), but we can do so on private tours.

Please be sure to include any food allergies/restrictions when booking your ticket so substitutions can be arranged in advance. We are unable to make last-minute substitutions as tastings are pre-ordered with our restaurant partners.

What kind of food is served on the tours?

Tastings vary by tour. Please visit each tour page to see the exact tastings currently featured on that experience.

Where do the tours meet?

Each tour has a different starting location. Please visit your tour page to see the exact meeting spot for your tours.

You’ll know your tour guide as he/she will be wearing an orange “Delicious Denver Food Tours” button.

Where do I park for tours?

Parking options are noted on each tour page. Please note that most of our tours end at a different spot than they meet, so you may choose to park closer to the meeting point, ending point or somewhere midway throughout the route. Parking in Denver is almost always paid and can be more challenging/expensive on home game days for the Rockies.

My tour is running on a home game day for the Rockies. Where should I park?

Parking is still available on home game days but more expensive/challenging. If you are joining our Downtown Food Tour, which departs just a few blocks from Coors Field downtown, taking a rideshare like Uber or Lyft will be the easiest option for afternoon games.

Do tours run in the rain or snow?

As all tastings are seated indoors, our tours run year-round in rain, snow or shine! We do recommend dressing appropriately for the short walks in between tastings. The exact distances each tour covers can be found on that tour page.

In the event of extreme inclement weather (hail storms, major snow storms, etc.), we may cancel a tour and offer the option to move to another day or accept a full refund.

How much walking is there on the tours?

Our walking tours vary in the distance covered, but they all include less than one mile of light and leisurely walking, broken up over the 2-3 hour experience.

You can find the exact distances of each tour on the specific tour page.

What should I wear on my tour?

We encourage guests to wear comfortable walking shoes. Tours run rain, snow or shine, so be sure to check the weather and plan to bring a coat, umbrella or sunscreen depending on the day.

How many people go on the tours?

Our public tours include up to 15 guests. Private tours are available for larger groups.

Are gratuities included for the guide?

No. If you felt your tour guide did a great job, please feel free to show your appreciation with a tip. Tips usually follow standard service industry gratuity at 15-20%.

Are there restrooms on the tour?

Yes. Each tasting stop will have a restroom, which your tour guide will point out.

Are kids allowed on tours?

Yes, children are welcome to join the Downtown Denver Food Tour and the RiNo Arts District Food Tour, and we offer a discounted ticket for guests under 12 years old (infants 2 and under are free and no ticket is necessary).

However, please note that some tours are 3 hours in length and include walking and standing, which may not be appropriate for some children.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes. Gift certificates make great gifts for birthdays and holidays. You can purchase them here.

Is there a spot to stow luggage while I join a tour?

Check out LUGDEN for luggage storage right around Union Station. This is convenient for our Downtown Denver Food Tour, Cocktail Tasting Tour and the Denver Wine Walk.

Do you offer Private Tours?

Yes! This is a fun and unique outing for corporate groups, friends or families wanting to explore downtown Denver through food. Learn more here.

Are tours wheelchair accessible?

Our tours use public sidewalks on city streets and visit building constructed as early as the 1800s. Not all of our venues and partners are currently wheel chair accessible due to the historical nature of these buildings.
