Pizza at Marcos with guests and guide

WE’RE HERE TO HELP

Taking care of our guests is important to us. Below you’ll find answers to all our most common (and uncommon) questions. If you can’t find the answer you need or just want to speak to a human feel free to call, text or email us.

Do I need tickets in advance?

Yes, please! Our tours often sell out (especially weekends), and we want to make sure you get a spot at the table. Booking online guarantees your seat — no scrambling or walk-up surprises. If you’re feeling spontaneous and it’s within 2 hours of a tour, just text or call and we’ll do our best to squeeze you in.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Life happens — we get it. You can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before your tour starts, no questions asked.

Need more flexibility? Add Tour Protection at checkout (just 8% per ticket), and you can cancel for a full refund anytime, right up to the moment the tour begins. Peace of mind, just in case your flight’s delayed or your toddler decides to stage a meltdown.

Can I exchange my ticket for another day or tour?

Absolutely. As long as it’s more than 24 hours before your tour, we’re happy to help you reschedule. Want to try a different day or a different tour? No problem. If the new tour costs more or less, we’ll just adjust the price accordingly. Easy!

How do I change my reservation?

Yes! You can update your booking (date, tour type, or group size) up to 24 hours before your tour starts.

If you booked directly through our website, you’ve got options: just click the “Update Booking” link in your confirmation email, or reach out to us anytime at info@deliciousdenverfoodtours.com or 720-780-1830 — we’re happy to help.

Booked through a third party like Viator? You’ll need to contact their support team directly for changes.

Pro tip: Booking directly with us makes things a lot simpler if plans shift!

Do you offer Tour Protection?

Tour Protection is our no-stress safety net. For just 8% per ticket, it lets you cancel, change, or get a full refund right up until your tour begins — no 24-hour cutoff, no worries.

It’s perfect if you’re flying in the day of your tour, juggling travel plans, or just want peace of mind in case something unexpected pops up. Totally optional, but guests often tell us they’re glad they added it.

Can I get a refund if I miss my tour or show up late?

We know travel can be unpredictable — but since all tastings are pre-ordered and paid for in advance, we’re not able to offer refunds once a tour is underway.

Running late? Give us a call or text at 720-780-1835 and we’ll do our best to help you catch up with your group. We can’t guarantee you’ll make it to every stop, but we’ll try to get you eating and exploring as quickly as possible.

Pro tip: If there’s a chance your plans might shift, Tour Protection gives you extra flexibility right up to the tour start time.

Will I be full by the end of the tour?

Let’s talk portions — because we know that’s important.

  • Downtown Food Tour and RiNo Arts District Food Tour: 5 generous tastings over 3 hours, which add up to a satisfying lunch. Come hungry!

  • 16th Street Food Tour: Includes 4 tastings and is closer to a light lunch — perfect if you’re looking for something delicious but not too heavy.

  • Denver Cocktail Tour: This one’s all about the drinks — you’ll enjoy 4 craft cocktails, plus light appetizers at 2 of the stops. It’s more of a happy hour vibe than a full meal.

Still hungry for details? Reach out — we’re happy to help you choose the right tour for your appetite.

Are drinks included?

They can be — it’s up to you!

  • Downtown Food Tour & RiNo Arts District Tour: Drinks aren’t included by default, but you can upgrade when booking to add 3 perfectly paired alcoholic beverages along the way. Highly recommended if you love a good sip with your bites.

  • Denver Cocktail Tour: This one’s all about the drinks — 4 expertly crafted cocktails are included. Not drinking? We offer a mocktail ticket too, so everyone can join the fun.

  • 16th Street Food Tour: No drinks included, but you’re welcome to grab a beverage at any stop — just let your guide know.

Valid ID is required for all alcohol service. Cheers!

Can I add the drink package later?

Totally! If you didn’t add drinks when booking, you can upgrade on the spot.

  • Downtown Food Tour: $30 for 3 tasty, tour-paired drinks

  • RiNo Food Tour: $35 for 3 unique, locally crafted sips

Just let your guide know before the tour kicks off — they’ll take care of it. (Heads up: credit card only, no cash.)

Perfect if you’re feeling thirsty day-of or didn’t want to commit ahead of time!

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes — with a little notice, we’re happy to accommodate many common dietary needs on our public tours. Here’s what we can work with:

Vegetarian
Vegan (Downtown & 16th Street Tours only)
Pescatarian
No beef / pork / poultry / seafood
Nut-free
Gluten-free (Downtown & 16th Street Tours only)

❌ We’re not able to fully accommodate dairy- or gluten-free diets on the RiNo Food Tour, due to the nature of the restaurant offerings — but we can on a private tour, so reach out if that’s a better fit!

Important: Please include any allergies or restrictions when you book. Our tastings are pre-ordered, so we can’t guarantee substitutions for last-minute requests.

Unsure if we can accommodate you? Text us at 720-780-1835.

What kind of food is served on the tours?

The good kind. The really good kind.

Each tour features a lineup of local favorites — from award-winning eats to hidden gems — and the tastings vary depending on the tour.

Want the full scoop? Head to the individual tour pages for a rundown of what’s currently being served.

Where do the tours meet?

Each tour kicks off at a different location, so be sure to check the specific tour page or your confirmation email for the exact meeting spot.

When you arrive, look for your guide — they’ll be rocking an orange “Delicious Denver Food Tours” button and a big welcoming smile. If you’re ever unsure, just call or text us and we’ll get you sorted.

Pro tip: Arrive a few minutes early so you’re ready to roll when the tastings begin!

Where do I park for tours?

Denver’s walkable, but parking? Not always so easy.

Each tour page includes nearby parking suggestions, but here’s the heads-up: most of our tours end in a different spot than they begin, so you might want to park closer to the start, the finish, or somewhere in between if you’re up for a short walk after the tour.

  • Parking is almost always paid (bring a card or use an app)

  • It can get tricky or more expensive on Rockies game days, so plan a little extra time if you’re coming downtown

Still not sure? Reach out. We’re happy to help you strategize.

My tour is running on a home game day for the Rockies. Where should I park?

You can still find parking, but heads up: it’s usually more expensive and harder to come by on game days, especially near Coors Field.

If you’re joining the Downtown Food Tour, which meets just a few blocks from the stadium, your best bet is to take a rideshare (like Uber or Lyft) — especially if it’s an afternoon game. It’ll save you time, money, and the stress of circling for a spot.

Prefer to drive? Give yourself extra time and check our Downtown Food Tour page for the latest parking suggestions.

Do tours run in the rain or snow?

Yep — we’re all-season foodies!

Since all tastings are seated indoors, our tours run year-round, rain, snow, or shine. You’ll be walking short distances between stops, so just dress for the weather (layers, umbrellas, and comfy shoes are your best friend).

In rare cases of extreme weather (think hail, blizzards, or a full-on snowpocalypse), we may cancel for safety. If that happens, you’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund — we’ve got you covered.

How much walking is there on the tours?

Not too much — and never all at once.

All of our tours include less than a mile of walking, spread out over 2–3 hours with plenty of breaks to sit, snack, and sip. It’s more of a leisurely stroll than a hike.

Want exact distances? You’ll find them listed on each tour page. If you have mobility concerns or questions, just reach out — we’re happy to help you pick the best tour for your needs.

What should I wear on my tour?

Whatever you’re comfortable in!

There’s no dress code — just keep in mind that we’ll be walking outdoors between stops, so comfortable shoes are a good idea. Tours run rain, snow, or shine, so it’s smart to check the forecast and bring layers, an umbrella, or sunscreen if needed.

Denver weather can surprise you — but as long as you’re comfy and weather-ready, you’ll be good to go.

How many people go on the tours?

Our public tours are capped at 15 guests, which keeps things fun, friendly, and easy to navigate — no shouting over a crowd or getting lost in the shuffle.

Got a bigger group or planning something special? We offer private tours for larger parties, corporate events, celebrations, and more. Just reach out and we’ll help you plan the perfect experience.

Are tips included for the guide?

Tips are never required — but always appreciated.

If you had a great time (and we hope you will!), the industry standard is 15–20%. Our guides put a lot of heart into making your experience fun, delicious, and memorable, and gratuities are a big part of how they’re compensated.

You’re welcome to tip in cash or via Venmo, and your guide will share their info at the end of the tour. Thanks for supporting local!

Are there restrooms on the tour?

Yes — no need to worry.

Each of our tasting stops has a restroom available, and your guide will let you know where and when to take a break. We’ve got you (and your bladder) covered.

Are kids allowed on tours?

Absolutely. We love having curious young foodies join us!

Kids are welcome on the Downtown Food Tour, RiNo Arts District Tour, and 16th Street Mall Tour. We even offer a discounted ticket for guests under 12, and infants 2 and under are free (no ticket needed).

Just a heads-up: tours last up to 3 hours and include walking and standing between stops. Some kids love it — others may get tired or restless. You know your little ones best!

What should I bring (or wear) to my tour?

No need to overthink it — just come comfy and weather-ready.

Wear:

  • Comfortable walking shoes (you’ll be on your feet between tastings)

  • A jacket or umbrella if the forecast calls for it

Bring:

  • A valid ID if you’ve added drinks to your tour

  • A way to tip your guide (cash or Venmo — totally optional, always appreciated)

No need to print anything. Your guide will check you in by name when you arrive.

Do you offer gift certificates?

We do — and they make a delicious gift.

Perfect for birthdays, holidays, weddings, or just because, our gift certificates let your lucky recipient choose the tour (and the date) that works best for them.

You can purchase one right here. — it only takes a minute, and gifting has never been tastier.

I have a gift card. How do I use it?

Lucky you! Redeeming your gift card is easy.

Just follow this quick video tutorial to apply your gift card when booking any of our food or drink tours. You can choose the tour, date, and time that works best for you.

Still have questions? Reach out — we’re happy to help get you booked and tasting.

Is there a spot to stow luggage while I join a tour?

Yes! If you’re rolling into town with bags in tow, check out LUGDEN  — a local luggage storage service conveniently located near Union Station.

It’s a great option if you’re joining our Downtown Denver Food Tour, Denver Cocktails Tour, or 16th Street Mall Food Tour and don’t want to drag your suitcase from stop to stop.

Just book ahead and travel light — we’ll handle the food and fun from there.

Do you offer Private Tours?

We do — and they’re a blast.

Whether you’re planning a team outing, family celebration, bachelorette party, or just want the whole tour to yourselves, our private experiences are a fun (and delicious) way to explore Denver together.

You’ll get a dedicated guide, a flexible schedule, and all the tasty highlights without the crowd.

Are tours wheelchair accessible?

Some stops are — but not all.

Our tours follow public sidewalks and visit local restaurants, including some housed in historic buildings from the 1800s. Because of this, not every stop is fully wheelchair accessible.

We’re happy to talk through options and help you choose the most accessible tour route. Just reach out before booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
