Is there transportation provided on this tour?

All of our tours are walking food and drink experiences. Guests meet at the starting point and walk between stops, with short, easy strolls in between. Seating, bathrooms, and water are provided at every stop, and your guide keeps the pace comfortable so you can relax, eat, and take in the sights along the way.

How much food is served?

This tour includes four tastings at award-winning, locally owned restaurants (see the tasting list above). Together, the portions make for a satisfying light lunch — just enough to leave you full but not too full to keep exploring. Come hungry, and you’ll leave happy.

Where does this tour end?

The tour ends at Trompeau Bakery near the Daniels & Fisher Clock Tower.

It’s about a 12-minute walk from the Brown Palace, but getting back is easy—the free MallRide bus runs along 16th Street and can return you to the starting point in just a few minutes.

What areas of town will I visit on this tour?

You’ll explore two of Denver’s most iconic downtown destinations — the 16th Street Mall and Larimer Square — each offering a different side of the city’s story.

The 16th Street Mall is a lively, mile-long pedestrian corridor lined with shops, cafés, and restaurants. It’s the center of downtown life and a perfect place to experience the city’s blend of history and modern energy. Your guide will share how this area evolved from a commercial hub in the 1800s to the walkable, food-filled destination it is today.

Just a few blocks away, Larimer Square offers a more intimate, historic feel. As Denver’s oldest block, it’s known for its string lights, Victorian-era architecture, and chef-driven restaurants. Here, you’ll hear how preservation efforts in the 1960s helped save the block — and set the stage for Denver’s thriving dining scene today.

How much walking is there on this tour?

The 16th Street Food Tour includes just under one mile of light, easy walking spread out over about two and a half hours. The route is flat and designed at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and stories along the way. All tastings are seated indoors, so you can relax and savor each stop in comfort — no rushing, no standing meals, and plenty of time to soak up downtown Denver’s atmosphere between bites.
